Last Tuesday Beth Rowland was bitten by a dog owned by Mrs Paul Helmecke as she entered the Helmecke home on an errand. The unusually quiet dog attacked and bit her severely on the thigh. three bites broke the skin in one instance.

District Court Convenes With Short Grand Jury Term
District Court opened last Monday as the Grand Jury, after its charge, was empaneled. The term is expected to be quiet and the Grand Jury an unusually brief session. During the week many non jury cases were disposed of and one indictment has been reported by the Grand Jury.
Red Cross Nets Sum From Recital At High School
The Red Cross collected a neat sum from a recital by Miss Anne Rogers at the High School last Thursday night. A storm and a nearby fire reduced attendance, but the program by Miss Rogers and her accompanists Miss Wereneuch and Miss Floy Collins was well received.

Auto theft at theatre ends with quick recovery
