Local Baptists Call Pastor Rev W Holland

Food conservation speaker draws large Comanche crowds
Mrs. Fine from the food conservation service spoke four times in Comanche this week. She addressed high school pupils and parents, town women, a Baptist tabernacle crowd, and business men at the courthouse, delivering strong calls for conserving food supplies.
Lightning Strikes Home Destroying Residence in Storm
The residence of Arther Hill was struck by lightning at about 4 oclock Thursday morning. The house burned to the ground but neighbors saved most of the household goods as residents were away for the night. Communications failures hindered alerting firefighters, and the property owned by Mrs. G. H. Goodson was across the street from the Hoff home.
