The Bronze Star Medal is presented posthumously to Captain Weedret R All Allen, husband of the former Gerard tier Slider of Clanche, and son of Mrs. J. H. of Tra, killed in action with the 90th Division in Normandy on July 11. Foul Play Feared in Mack A Ragens Death
Mack A Ragens 60 of 202 Preston was found unconscious Monday on Preston and Travis. Police and Justice of the Peace Tom Maes investigated foul play as autopsy was ordered. Ragens died Monday night at Jefferson Davis Hospital with a head injury from a fall. burial followed at Zion Hill Cemetery. He was a former Houston peace officer and longtime Comanche County resident.
