Comanche County Tennis Meet Set At High School Courts
The 1941 Comanche County tennis meet will be held at Comanche high school courts Saturday with play starting early. Four matches per division and no Grammar School events. Entries include Comanche De Leon Gustine Sidney and Comyn in Senior and Junior divisions for boys and girls.

Alpha Nathan Alf Garner 64 a life long Comanche resident dies at home after a long illness. Funeral services Friday at 10 am at Comanche Funeral Home led by Rev Gordon Barrett. Interment Oakwood Cemetery with IOOF Lodge chapter in charge. Born July 8 1876 in Georgia he moved to Texas as a child. Survived by brother W S Garner of Brownwood and relatives in Comanche.

Marshall Suffers Brain Concussion at School Game
J. M. Marshall, coach at Chenville High School and father of a student, suffered a brain concussion last week while playing softball with Stephenville High School students. He was examined in hospital after an on field collision and remained under care at Stephenville Hospital for at least two more weeks.
