Military Services And Reburial Held For Veteran
Military funeral services and reburial for S2/c James A Summers were held here March 10. Interment was at Stag Creek Cemetery. Summers son of Mr and Mrs John Summers of Hutchins Dallas County and nephew of Tom Alf and D C Summers of Comanche. VFW conducted services. Summers was injured August 13 1943 aboard USS John Penn in the Pacific and died days later in a Guadalcanal hospital. body returned for reburial. Summers was born August 1943.
