A large group of Comancheans attended the funeral of Mrs. R B Cross wife of District Judge R B Cross in Gatesville services led by Rev J T Ayers. She died Tuesday after a long illness in a Galveston hospital and had lived in Gatesville since childhood. She was active in church civic and club affairs and was a past president of the Gatesville Garden Club leaving a husband a son Robert E Cross Gatesville a daughter Mrs Denver Roberts Pettus and two grandchildren as survivors.

Blanket Girl Sells Steer For 7500 At Exposition
Jane Ellen McBride ten year old of Blanket sold a 935 pound Hereford steer named Rudy at the San Antonio Livestock Exposition for 7500 dollars. The steer bred by R J Roeder Jr of Yorktown and shown by Jane Ellen was champion.
