Funeral Rites Held Friday For J. W. Robinson
Funeral services for J. W. Robinson were held at the First Baptist Church in Gustine on Friday March 1 1957 at 3 p.m. Rev. Roy Hill led the service with Rev. S J Isham reading Scriptures and prayers. Dr. D D Tidwell of Howard Payne College spoke of his first meeting with Mr. Robinson linked to his grandfather Choctaw Bill a pioneer Baptist preacher. Robinson donated his grandfather s Bible to the Howard Paige College Museum for posterity. Out of town relatives attended from Throckmorton and Muleshoe.

Chambers with evangelist Dr. Clifford Nelson from District 16 Missionary Brownwood. An irrigation clinic occurs Friday March 15 at Mc's Cafeteria parking area near the Y on the Brownwood Highway featuring experts from REA, A&M, and irrigation equipment firms.
