Obituary: Mrs Z G Cardwell of Comanche Dead
Mrs Lucy Fanny Cardwell died after years of illness at her home near Comanche. She was born January 13, 1865, near Sabine Creek and married to Z G Cardwell in 1886. Survived by husband, son, two brothers, four sisters, and the Cardwell family, she joined the Church of Christ in 1891 and lived a devout life bereaved by the loss of a wife and mother with faith in a reward awaiting the faithful.

Fire destroys Elmer Webb residence near high school
Last Saturday night Elmer Webb’s home near the high school burned beyond salvage after a cook stove fire ignited in the evening.
