Winds Damage Young Peanuts Across Comanche County Fields
The weekly field survey reports that unyielding winds and drought like conditions damaged young peanuts. Area summaries show varying levels of Lesser Cornstalk Borer infestation from 1.4 to 28 percent, with overall mean infestation up slightly from last week. The report notes pests like Yellow Striped Armyworms and Corn Earworms below one per row foot and warns growers to base treatments on field inspections.
