Joe B. Hamilton Dies At Mount Pleasant
Joe B. Hamilton, 50, former Co Manche jeweler, died suddenly at his Mount Pleasant home Tuesday from a heart attack. Funeral services were held Wednesday in Mount Pleasant with interment in the local cemetery. He is survived by his widow and two children, Joe Dick and Martha, and he was a brother of Dr. R. W. H. Hamilton of Stephenville.

Illness Fatal To Rev Smallwood Ends 74 Year Life
Rev. R. L. Bob Smallwood, 74, of Lone Oak near Stephenville, died after weeks of illness in a Stephenville hospital. A pioneer Erath County Baptist minister, he led Sardis Baptist Church at Hasse for over 25 years and recently received an all day appreciation service. Services were held at Oak Grove Baptist Church with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery.

In Austin Monday Dr. A. J. Gray and H. L. of the Comanche Chamber of Commerce joined delegations from Strawn Desdemona De Leon Goldthwaite San Saba Llano and Fredericksburg to urge hard surfacing of Highway 81 through Liane and San Saba Counties the completion of unit one from Golthwaite to Comanche and the extension from De Leon through Strawn to Graham. The Comanche group also backed four and a half miles of Highway 3 east from Gustine.
