First Car Wheat Shipped Tuesday
The first car of 1938 wheat was shipped from Comanche Tuesday by the Higginbotham firm. A top price of 65 cents was paid for the grain. C. P. St. Clair, buyer for the firm said the county’s wheat yield is low with the best crops at 15 bushels per acre.

Liquor agents and county officials conducted raids in Comanche last weekend. Harry Cloud was arrested for sale of intoxicating liquor and posted a $500 bond. Officers also raided Mrs. Billa Sutton, seizing twenty pints of un stamped liquor with charges filed and a $500 bond posted. Mrs. Sylvia Withers faced unlawful possession of beer for sale and posted bond.

Prison Transfer For Two Comanche County Burglars
Two Comanche County prisoners were taken to the State Penitentiary Monday, June 13, by Uncle Bud Russell. Raymond Weenie Wines and Winlow Magness were convicted of burglary.
