Todd Returns To Local Church In Fort Worth Conference

Rev. Plez Todd was reappointed pastor of First Methodist Church Comanche for a third year after the Central Texas Conference meeting in Fort Worth. His report showed all claims met and an extra 1150 paid toward church improvement. Attendance averaged 225.2, salary rose to 6000 with parsonage use.

James Haney New Minister At Gustine Church

New minister at the Gustine Church of Christ is James Haney. He is a graduate of Abilene Christian College and has begun work on his Master's degree at Abilene College. He and his bride Lyndal Foster reside in Gustine. Services schedule: Bible school 10 am worship 10:45 am and 8 pm, with mid week prayer on Wednesdays.

Comanche swim program draws 177 in first session

The Comanche Swimming program hosted by the City Recreation, Jaycees, Lions, and Chamber of Commerce drew 177 participants in its opening session. Under director King with local teachers and lifeguards, the program offers lessons for non-swimmers and advanced swimmers at a reduced fee for children while adults pay the standard rate. more signups are encouraged.
