Hic] Richardson farms near Comanche produced 691 crates of blackberries from a three-quarter acre patch. Pickers earned 76.01 dollars and the couple netted 294.47 dollars, with a 65 acre orchard nearby and high county yields credited to fertile sandy loam and careful cultivation. VicNatt Buys Tailor Shop At Dublin
E. E. McNatt former Comanche tailor bought the Bob Easley Tailor Shop in Dublin last week. He and his family moved to the city this week and he has taken charge of the business. McNatt left Comanche about two years ago to open a tailor shop at Grove suburb of Port Arthur but returned to Comanche shortly after Christmas. He was active in civic and church affairs while in Comanche.

Burton Brothers Ship Ten Car Loads of Wool
Burton Brothers warehouse men report ten car loads of wool shipped this season totaling over 250000 pounds. Wool prices have risen from 22 cents to a high around 24.5 cents per pound with values between 21 and 24.5 cents. H Burks chairs a Comanche rodeo committee announcing a July 4 event with 12 San Antonio stunt riders. Local contestants may enter various roping and riding events at the ball park from 4 to 6 pm. Three New Wells Added To Amity Shallow Oil Field
Three new producers were added to the Amity shallow field last week per Joan Roberson in Comanche. The Jim Whitesides well on the A K Anderson lease produced 5 to 10 barrels daily, the McCarter Company well on the I W Roberson tract is believed good for about 20 barrels daily, and another light well on the Mary Smith tract was brought in. The Goss Well on the Tom Steele place near the McCarter property was reported dry. Roberson Brothers of Fort Worth set pipe at 2780 feet on the Sam Poteet place Thursday, with drilling under way east of the Lone Star plant and near Sipe Springs about 5 1/2 miles east of Rising Star.

Priddy Exhibits Prize Onions In Comanche
Gustine farmer W. C. Priddy toured Comanche on Tuesday afternoon showing prize onions from his garden. He displayed six White Bermuda onions averaging about a pound each and said thirty-five cents worth of seed onions yielded over 558 pounds.
