Red Cross Seeks More Women for Dressing Centers

Comanche County Surgical Center appeals for volunteers as Red Cross asks for 30 000 2x2 bandages 18 000 4x4 bandages and 7 000 4x8 sheets. Mrs Cox notes half the quota remains and praises Beattie community workers. Teen girls are invited to help at the Red Cross Room with dressing center hours set each afternoon and Tuesday Thursday evenings.

A small gathering of friends and relatives celebrated the marriage of Pfc. and Mrs. Ben Tatum last Thursday night. Tatum is stationed in Maryland and formerly from Mart Tears. Mrs. Tatum, daughter of H. E. LaRoque, works at The Comanche National Bank in Comanche. Several locals visited, attended services, and others were noted in the community as they moved about during the week.
