Comanchean Army Air Medal Recipient Returns Home
Sp4 Tommy Hernandez, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marcelo Hernandez of Comanche, arrived home May 29 from a year in Vietnam with the 101st Airborne Division. He received the Bronze Star and Air Medal by order of the President and the Army Commendation Medal by the Secretary of the Army. He praised his unit and thanked his family and God for his safety.

The Comanche Amateur Rodeo kicks off Thursday June 19 and runs through Saturday with six events calf roping bull riding relay races bull dogging bare back bronc riding and barrel racing. A Rodeo Queen contest will boost ticket sales with advance tickets available at Hanks Mohair Co. on June 6.
