Guthrie Mill Sold To Harding Tilton Plans Reopen

The Pioneer Cotton Mills in Guthrie Okla. were sold to Harding & Tilton of New York and Boston for 1926 000. They will overhaul the mill to reopen July 1 at full capacity and operate with their Fort Worth mill, aiming to double output within a year. The court appointed Ned Holman as receiver earlier, and Ik is named superintendent for the renewed operation.

Two Dallas Men Die In Suspected Double Suicides

Two Dallas men were found shot to death in their beds within 24 hours. S. W. Crawford, 36, lay across a hotel bed with a bullet wound and a pistol nearby. his wife blamed business reverses for his despondency. Luther Presley, 34, was found dead at home. his father said a seven year old fall injury plagued him.

Reid Named to Oklahoma Supreme Court Commission

The Dallas News reports L. V. Reid of Poteau Oklahoma is appointed to one of nine seats on the Oklahoma Supreme Court Commission as the third district member Virgil Reid, longtime county attorney and son of Rayford Reid of Proctor, also earns a related post. Edwin Dabney of Oklahoma is noted as another appointee to a similar position. Comanche residents note that both the Attorney General and a Supreme Court Commission member have roots in this city.
