Local residents share weekend visits and churchgoer notes

Earl Callaway and family spent Sunday with friends at New Hope and attended church. Mrs. Mattie Humphries spent the weekend in De Leon with her sister. Mr. and Mrs. Brinson of De Leon visited here Sunday. Clara Howard of De Leon attended the meeting last week. Gayle Morrow from San Diego is home on furlough. Miss Hazel Jones of Abilene visited Buck and Mrs. Jones. Miss Etter Lee Hoard of Rising Star stayed with grandparents Rob and Mrs. Humphries. Walt Smith spent the weekend at home and is undergoing treatment in Fort Worth. Mrs. T. 4. Weaver and Mrs. W. A. Smith were in Comanche Monday. Jap Elliott of Chuckville was here with Will Adams and attended church. Stub Poyner of Abilene visited Martin Hill and family. Willie Dean Miller of Abs lene remains at home this week.

Local Residents Attend Visits and Farewells Across Texas

Harmony Jr and Mrs Z T Edwards and Clarence Edwards of Comanche joined Mrs Harold Edwards for a Fort Knox visit with Pvt Harold Edwards. Pvt Tyson Phillips returns to an Army Air Base in California after furlough with homefolks. Friends and relatives hosted a farewell dinner and watermelon at the Phillips home. Mrs W F Robinson spends a week with daughter near Dublin for revival attendance. Mr and Mrs J H Robinson and son visited his mother and sister and attended to beer interests here. Wanda Faye Wilhelm visited aunt and joined an extended statewide tour. Lt Jack Wilhelm Cyril Oklahoma J K Wilhelm Gatesville and Mrs Aubrey Wilhelm Brownwood visited here over the weekend.
