Comanche prepares for a three night rodeo August 7 to 9 as crowds anticipate top roping and Brahma bull events. Ted Powers from San Angelo wins the main event with 107 seconds for six calves. Henry Schoen of Priddy tops jackpot roping at 30.2 seconds. More than fifteen local firms back the parade on Thursday August 7 at 6 30 led by the Brownwood Old Gray Mare Band with 40 to 50 floats expected. no entry fee, cash prizes planned.
