G W Dutton 71 died at his Comanche home Monday after illness. Funeral services were held at Mer- Gap Wednesday with burial in the local cemetery. Peanut growers with unsatisfactory allotments in this and nearby counties are urged to attend a July 12 meeting at 3 00 p m at the De Leon compress sheds. Sara Jane Auvenshine Dies at Two Months

Two month old Sara Jane Auvenshine daughter of Mr and Mrs E L Auvenshine of Beattie died after a week's illness. Funeral services were held Saturday at Stag Creek with Rev Willie Skaggs officiating. Burial followed in Stag Creek Cemetery. She is survived by four brothers and sisters.

Improvements on Highway 36 East Announced

State funds have been approved to add caliche base to an asphalt surface on four miles of Highway 36 from Gustine to the Dublin Lamkin Lateral. Grading and drainage work is planned from the Dublin Lamkin Road east through Lamkin to the Comanche Hamilton County line. The Gustine segment will be built by day labor with WPA participation. the eastern section will be bid as a contract. Work is expected to start within sixty days on the Gustine segment and in the fall on the eastern stretch.

The Comanche Roping Club staged a four performance rodeo drawing near capacity crowds despite a large attendance from Camp Bowie. Champion Jim Reynolds of Albany won 125 dollars. Henry Carroll Smith 64 retired Comanche County farmer died Monday at his home near the Comanche Grammar School after several weeks illness.
