Comanche Bank's 1893 Panic and Town's Fortunes
The narrative recalls Comanche Texas during the 1890s as the town grew around a railroad terminus and bank. It details building of court house and bank, notable Scots workers, early leaders like J. W. Greene, and the 1893 panic when multiple local firms failed. It ends with reflections on resilience and key figures such as W. B. Cunningham and Capt. James H. Oberthier.
