Kenneth Self Dies From Accidental Gunshot Wound
Kenneth Self, 12, died at 4 p m Monday in De Leon from an accidental gunshot wound received Saturday while rabbit hunting a mile east of town. The bullet entered his right side, piercing his lung and liver. The shooter was 14 year old Charles Narry who had a cocked rifle that discharged as he turned toward Self. Kenneth was the son of Mr and Mrs Sam Self. Local man John W Holmes slipped on an ice coated pavement Saturday while trying to aid the Self family and broke the stub of his arm.

Mrs. J. K. Bingham of the Suez community was severely burned when her dress caught in the draft of an open fireplace. Her husband, returning from milking, smothered the flames with a quilt. She is under medical care and expected to recover.
