Burton Bros. of Comanche County bought more than twenty five thousand dollars in furs over the last two months. Opossum hides led with about six thousand sold at roughly forty eight cents each, while skunks topped five thousand at about one fifty per fur. Raccoons and gray fox followed with multiple hundred skins each. Mink brought ten dollars a pelt, civet cats averaged fifty cents, and around a thousand civet cats were handled in total.
