Death of Jim R. Tatum Follows Long Illness in Comanche

James Richard Tatum of Comanche County dies after a prolonged illness. Funeral services at Comanche Methodist Church with Rev. E N Scarlett, interment in Siloam Cemetery. Born July 3, 1882 near Lakin, he married Lillian Cox at 22. survived by wife, son Tommie of Dallas, daughter Coda Viola deceased, plus two brothers Bud and Will, and three sisters. He lived in Carlton Gustine and Comanche, farmed and dairied, joined Methodist Church at 23 and belonged to the Wesley Bible Class. Described as a highly respected county man by cousin W L Tatum.

Linol Guy Hyatt Dies at Proctor Parents Home

Linol Guy Hyatt died at his parents home near Proctor January 16 after a pneumonia illness. Interment was Monday at Proctor Cemetery at 4:00 PM with Rev. L. D. Hornburg officiating. Born March 18, 1931, he is survived by his parents and siblings Sam Henry Hyatt Christine Merl Exa Edith and Harold of Proctor.

N J Sanders Dies At Sipe Springs

Mrs N J Sanders pioneer of Comanche County died January 21 funeral services were held at Sipe Springs and interment followed. Born September 8 1853 in Robinson County she moved to Comanche County in 1879 living in Sipe Springs 63 years Survived by two daughters 12 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren.

Mrs. J. W. St. Clair Dies in Fort Worth

Mrs. J. W. St. Clair elder sister in law of C. P. St. Clair and Mrs. D. Charles Clarke of Comanche died in Fort Worth Sunday and was buried there Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Clarke and Mr. St. Clair attended the funeral services.

James Evers born near Macon Georgia September 13 1849 moved to Alabama at age five died in Comanche December 30 1937. He married Sarah M Moran and had seven children six sons and one daughter four died young. His spouse preceded him eighteen years ago. He joined the Methodist Church earlier in life and leaves Lon Evers and Mrs Annie Powers along with two brothers and many friends.

John Noel 91 retired Methodist minister died January 19 at the home of his son Sam K. Noel in De Leon He was buried January 20 at Gunsight Stephens County where he formerly lived Noel was a Mason and had moved to De Leon from Gunsight twenty years ago with prior residence in De Leon itself
