Oregon lawmakers are urged to pass a law mandating 8 percent alcohol from farm waste, including cull potatoes, for gasoline blending starting 1936. The plan envisions annual increases to 5, 10, and 15 percent and tax exemptions for alcohol-prying plants at 50 percent capacity for five years.
