About $100 was donated to the Red Cross War Relief Fund in Comanche this week raising the total to roughly $1800. The county needs about $600 more to meet its goal. Donations may be given to Miss Berta Goodson at Comanche Ward School or other listed donors or at the Chief office. Mr and Mrs Lois Gore departed for San Diego this week.

Drive Raises Funds To Fight Infantile Paralysis In County
In Comanche on Friday night a fundraising drive for the Warm Springs Foundation was planned under F O Jaye with Mrs Ivah Pittman urging clubs schools and organizations to contribute. Funds will aid infantile paralysis with drives in De Leon Gustine and Comanche and ministers asked to mobilize congregations. A county basketball tourney for men 30 to 50 years old on January 30 and February 2 supports the effort with games in Comanche and De Leon featuring teachers preachers merchants and farmers teams.

Comanche County Livestock Association met January 8 to outline the 1942 Junior Livestock Show to be held early in March along similar lines to 1941. All 4 H and F F A youth in the county may exhibit with Jersey division premiums matching Beef class amounts. A decision on inviting senior breeders will be reconsidered at the February De Leon meeting.

State National Bank Holds Annual Meeting in Comanche
