Annual Junior Livestock Show Set For Sutton Dudley Barn
The Comanche County annual Junior Livestock Show, ten years running, plans a fat stock show January 25 at Sutton Dudley barn one mile north of the square. 4-H and FFA youth will show calves, pigs, lambs and more under catalog rules. premiums totaling over 1200 dollars have been paid in prior years with further prizes offered.

Lt Colonel Leslie S Moore arrives home on leave to visit Dallas family and Comanche mother Mrs C M Moore. He served five years and spent twenty months overseas in the European Theater. After WWII he led the Administrative and Personnel Staff Office Economic Section of the Allied Commission of the Allied Forces of Italy. Prior to service he was a chemical engineer with Gulf Refining Co in Pennsylvania.

Fire damages home of Mrs. J. B. Arthur at 304 North Pearl
Early Friday a fire of undetermined origin heavily damaged the two story residence of Mrs. J. B. Arthur at 304 North Pearl Street. The blaze started in the northwest upstairs room used by roomer Carl Green, a soldier. Roof on the second floor was mostly destroyed with damage estimated at 2200, 1200 insured. lower story suffered heavy water and fire damage while rear rooms were undamaged.
