Richards Back From Pacific After 35 Years in Army
Pfc. Roy B. Richards, nephew of Mr. and Mrs. E. C. Seay Sid ney, has returned home with an Army discharge under the point system. He served 35 years in the Pacific Theatre of Operations and earned battle stars for two Philippine invasions and the Philippine liberation campaign. He also served on Bougainville and New Guinea. Fire destroys two houses in Comanche in two weeks
The Dingus homestead in Fast Comanche burned early Sunday with W H Dingus and tenants inside. Nearly all Dingus and Johnson possessions were lost. no insurance, estimated total loss 1500. Two weeks earlier a South Comanche two room house owned by Mrs N C Phillips burned, Miss Allie Steele and cash were lost. Phillips insured for 200, loss about 500. Citizens donated to victims.
