Teachers To Visit Homes In Comanche Public Schools
On Thursday January 16 Comanche public school teachers will visit about 200 homes to meet parents and gather input on what is good about the schools and where improvements are wanted. Superintendent H R Jefferies says visits will be informal and nondefensive and notes visits may occur with no prior acquaintance. Parents may request a visit by calling the principal’s office.

Lana K. Boyd of Comanche earned a Master of Educational Curriculum and Instruction from Texas A and M University. TAMU graduated 1,074 full graduates. Joy Carter and daughter Kathy visited Comanche over Christmas week from Rolling Hills California to see Mrs. Eaton and family including Robert Eaton, Mrs. Eaton from Trinidad, Howard from Nacogdoches, Linda and family, Spud Mitchum, and Crystal from College Station.

Mrs. Addie Williams returned home after a seven week trip to Washington and California. She left Texas November 22 for Seattle to visit relatives Rev. and Mrs. Lem R. Carter and others for two weeks, then spent December with son Ardis A. Williams in Seal Beach. A chartered bus carried 42 seniors on tours including Hollywood and Disneyland where 2000 youths provided a Christmas pageant.

Farm Prices Decline In December Across U S Crops
The Agriculture Department reports a 3 percent drop in average farm prices from Nov 15 to Dec 15 led by upland cotton wheat rye lettuce and soybeans. Hog and egg prices rose, and the Dec 15 farm price index was 4 percent below a year earlier.
