Comanche merchants announce a Spring Trading Campaign to draw customers from adjoining areas by offering more merchandise and value. The effort, starting January 1, aims to prove Comanche’s goods and services and urge residents to buy locally for profit and convenience.
Bill Young a well known garage man and half owner of Bill and Jos Filling station and Garage has sold his interest to Mr Tupin. Tupin will have full ownership effective March first and will join as head of mechanical work at the station. Young plans to reside in Comanche and has not announced future plans.
H P Kay and his wife settled within two miles of what became Proctor, Comanche County, before the town's birth in 1876. They traveled by ox and built a one room egg cabin near a lone public building serving as school church and courthouse. Kay recalls six shooters and cheap whisky, and a Sunday morning sighting of seven wild deer crossing the road toward church.
The Hamilton Drug Company will install a modern liquid carbonic mechanical soda fountain by March 1. It will feature the latest Frigidair equipment and be run by Guy Evans, per J. P. Smith the proprietor.

Subscriptions must be in by Monday February 28 with late entries counting for extra points in some districts.
