James Chapman resigns as Sidney Schools superintendent
James Chapman announced at the February 3 school board meeting that he will resign as superintendent of the Sidney Independent School District effective July 1, planning to pursue continued work in education. Teens Charged in PAR Foray at Comanche High
Two Comanche High School teenagers were arrested by county officials for allegedly destroying property at PAR Country Club. In January, three greens were damaged when an automobile drove over greens Nos. 2, 3, and 4. One youth faces destruction of private property charges, the other is in juvenile proceedings. Underwood Golf Construction estimates rebuilding 3 greens at five dollars per square foot, about 5,000 square feet per green, excluding seed.
