Temple visitors and Fort Worth engineers joined local Chamber officials Wednesday night to discuss the proposed Proctor Dam on the Leon River. Lipan Brookamith Prepare Bi District Showdown In Comanche

Four top teams clash at Comanche High School gym Friday as Lipan and Brookamith meet in Class B Bi District finals for boys and girls. Brookamith earned both district titles at Early Rich School last week among Brown McCatlock and Mills counties. Lipan teams crowned by Erath Wood Somervell and Parker counties boast strong records. The Lipan girls also beat Pottsville in the German tournament. Funeral rites were held for Tom Clyde Marshall Yoakum High athletic director and coach, 37, native of Comanche, who died February 9 in Houston after a brief illness.
