The Comanche Indians and Indian Maidens travel to Granbury Friday with hopes of clinching the District 8-AA basketball titles. The Indians already earned at least a tie by beating Dublin 62-44, while Granbury challenges the Indians for the crown. Comanche Jaycees announce Heart Fund Drive beginning Monday February 17 in the business district. Teams of Jaycees will collect with a goal to finish by February 22. Mrs Buell Arthur chairs the Comanche Heart Association.
County residents interested in voting for national offices may register at the Tax Assessor-Collector's office through March 6, announces John Beaty Jr. Registrants receive a poll tax receipt marked Poll Tax Not Paid and must present it to vote in May June and November elections.
