Comanche Baptists in Frontier Texas Churches
A late 1860s Bosque River Baptist history recounts Comanche and nearby churches forming the Bosque River Baptist Association after leaving Brazos River. The 1869 Paluxy meeting organized seven churches including Comanche F H Neely and R D Ross. Indian raids interrupted the 1870 session as frontier life persisted with preaching, convicts, and frontier hardship.
