Pints Liquor Taken In Raids By County Officers

Sheriff Wid Spivey Deputy Perry St Clair and officers from the Board of Liquor Control report raids capturing twenty three pints and other measures of liquor from multiple locations. Charges include possession for sale and possessing stamped liquor. One case set for hearing January 3.

Calves Being Fed for Comanche Fat Stock Show

Forty calves are being fed for the Comanche Fat Stock Show to be held in March. Lambs and pigs will be exhibited this year alongside calves. Twenty calves are fed by the Comanche High School Vocational Agriculture class and 26 by F F A clubs and individuals.

Mrs. Jim H. Hill Dies After Illness in Comanche

Mrs. J H Hill a longtime Comanche resident died at her daughter’s home on Wright Avenue Friday December 10 after several weeks illness. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church with Rev J D Smoot officiating. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery. She was born Mary Charlotte Kemp March 27 1870 in Clifton Texas and had two daughters from first marriage and four from second. She was 16th member of the Comanche Baptist Church and left a large family and community legacy.
