A four year old girl Nan Lawless writes a letter to Santa detailing her Christmas wishes. She asks for a broom a doll a dishes set an army truck overalls a polo shirt and candy nuts and fruit.
A five year old child writes to Santa, listing wishes including a train, cowboy suit, farm set, and a toy victrola with story records. He signs as Dean Kyle Pettit and expresses belief in Santa’s kindness and hope for visits to all children.
A three year old girl Wanda Lou Hagood requests a rocking chair iron ironing board mop and new dresses in a Christmas note from Comanche. She asks also that two uncles in the Service receive gifts.

Mrs Hollis DeWitt of Proctor announces the marriage of her daughter Jenny Lou to T/Sgt Charles F Tidwell son of Mr and Mrs C H Tidwell. The double ring ceremony was held December 16 at 5 30 p m in the Tidwells home in Blanket officiated by Rev J L Oliver. Mrs Tidwell wore a powder blue suit with white carna tions as corsage. Maids and best man named. both families noted as residents of Blanket and Comanche.
In Comanche Texas the Service Drug Store, already serving public health needs, has become an agent for the American Express Money Order Division. Money orders of all denominations available at the store for a small service charge.
The couple wed after a four year service period with fourteen months overseas. The groom is stationed at Camp Blanding Florida and the bride plans to live in Comanche. Tidwell will report for duty January 6.
