Pecan Show Honors Won at De Leon County Fair
The 11th annual Comanche County Pecan Show and eighth annual pecan bake show drew over 100 entries at De Leon City Hall. Womack's Nursery dominated shell pecans while L. G. Holland won native pecan honors. judges included Tom Denman and Robert Jones. Bake winners included Mrs. Virginia Davis and Mrs. Dodie Gillette tying for first in adult pecan cakes.
