Second Fertilizer Plant Victim Miss Claudia Fisher dies
The Comanche based county clerk and former deputy Miss Claudia Fisher died at 5 35 p m December 1 as the second fatality of a morning explosion at the Fertilizer Plant 2 office. Carroll Anderson, 42, production foreman, also perished in the blast. Allan Towe, 23, survived with minor injuries. The plant resumed full production Saturday. Funeral services for Miss Fisher were held at the First Baptist Church in Comanche.

Comanche FFA Initiates Thirty-Seven Greenhands
On November 17 1955 the Comanche Future Farmers of America held a regular initiation ceremony bringing in 27 new FFA members nicknamed Greenhands. Members must memorize the five verse 262 word FFA Creed and present their planned projects. About 20 fathers attended along with Euell Lightfoot an honorary member. Miss Quay Williams and LaRae Swindle performed musical numbers. Coffee punch and cake followed adjournment.
