They plan a West Texas visit then return to Comanche before moving to Abilene. Mrs Johnson is a 1942 Comanche High School graduate and has been at a business college in Lubbock. Two Injured In Train Car Crash Near Comanche
Willard Burk owner of Burk's Studio in Comanche and Pvt. I C Woods at Camp Bowie were injured when their car hit an eastbound Santa Fe freight train on South Austin Street three blocks south of the square. Burk suffered a broken leg and facial injuries while Woods had minor cuts. They were taken to Brownwood and Camp Bowie hospitals respectively.

Funeral Rites Held For William Smith
William Robert Smith 58 formerly of Comanche died in an Austin hospital Sunday night after a brief illness. Funeral services were held Monday at the Comanche Funeral Home with interment in Indian Creek Cemetery. He was the son of J. E. and Hattie Smith and a long-time resident of Comanche, a Methodist Church member. Survived by two sisters, Mrs. Ida Wood and Mrs. Jess McCullough, both of Comanche.
