Cousins Die of Diphtheria in Local Tragedy

Cecil Sweeden aged 2 and Laurence Sweeden aged 2 were buried Friday after contracting diphtheria. Both boys were ill only about one and a half days. The cousins were sons of Mr and Mrs Jim Sweeden and Mr and Mrs Ollie Sweeden. Following the deaths, nearly all local children have received a serum.

Seven year old Zela Stewart dies in German Sanitarium

Zela Stewart age seven died Monday of appendicitis at the German Sanitarium and was buried Tuesday at Stag Creek Cemetery. Funeral services were led by Rev. S. D. Hurt. She was the daughter of Mr and Mrs Tom Stewart and attended school recently. relatives and neighbors are noted in social mentions including visits and local events.
