Electric Co op Expands Service Across Comanche Eastland
The Comanche and Eastland County Cooperative Electric Association reports over 1 000 members with 453 miles of lines in two counties. The Brown County project 153 miles long has 609 members signed up. project timing expects Washington approval soon. A. C. Thomas, superintendent, organized the effort since August 15 1938 with projects approved July 15 and December 9 1938. Power now serves Comanche County and will reach Eastland County in weeks. The association credits Thomas and coworkers for its growth, with officers including R. E. Seay president H L Beaty vice president W Bice secretary treasurer and Pred G Harmon counsel. New Equipment Puts Majestic In City Class
The Majestic Theatre installs a Super Simplex 4-Star Sound Projection system advancing from its already modern setup. Manager J. W. Carter Jr. says the new system improves realism, tone balance, and uniform sound distribution. He notes it matches systems used in the Roxy Paramount and Radio City Music Hall. The theatre invites scrutiny from other theatre nations.

Haynes Murder Trial Delayed to April Next Year

Comanche to Build New 9000 Dollar Band Hall
Work on Comanche's new nine thousand dollar Band Hall begins Friday morning. The veneer building will be west of the High School Gym on the campus. Sixty youths will be employed, with twenty four signed up and thirty four vacancies to fill shortly. Wages are 24 cents per hour for up to sixty hours monthly. Ages 18 to 24 eligible.
