Comanche County Young Farmers Founder Chapter History
The Comanche County Young Farmers began in 1960 with former FFA members and State Farmer Degree holders. Daymond Power was chosen secretary, Bill Lane became the first president, and local teachers joined as advisors. A parallel wives group formed, later becoming the Comanche County Young Homemakers Association. By December 1961, thirty four members and wives attended the State Young Farmer Convention in Dallas.
