Emergency Livestock Credit Act Gets Loan Guarantees

Bennie B. Davis says the Farmers Home Administration will guarantee up to 80 percent of losses on loans to livestock and poultry producers under the Emergency Livestock Credit Act. Loans up to 250000, repayable 1 to 3 years, may be extended to 5 years with renewal. Application through banks. FmHA guarantees only when financing is otherwise unavailable. Office in Comanche County serves the area from Heartland Life Building.

Sixty-Eight Sign Up For Junior High Football

Coach Billy Pope reports 68 junior high players signed for football this season with 36 seventh graders and 32 eighth graders. The seventh grade list includes Jeff Hazelrigg, Dale Hurst, Lynn Welch, and others. eighth grade roster features Joe John Edwards, Bill Ellis, Joe Harrington, and additional players. The Paps open the season in De Leon on Sept. 12.

Comanche County 1975 Livestock Weigh In Schedule

Livestock weigh ins for the 1975 Comanche County Commercial Steer Feeding Program set for August 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Livestock Center. Robert Whiteside leads the Market Steer Department with Brent Daniel Gayle Mahan and Jerry Vines on the weigh in committee. Steers must weigh under 600 pounds to qualify for the show. The Comanche County Livestock Show is scheduled for January 16 and 17, 1975 at the Livestock Center.

Rankin To Head Indian Booster Club

The Comanche-Indian Sports Booster Club elected new officers at the August 13 meeting. President Rankin and Vice President Hazelrigg lead a board including Barbara Holland as secretary treasurer and directors Wright, Holland, Lester, Sudderth, and Richey.
