Wheat allotments and penalties under marketing provisions
Farmers may market excess wheat without penalty if yield falls below the normal yield on excess acres. An 100 acre allotment with 10 bu/acre normal yield lets a producer release 200 bu of excess wheat after planting is halved to 80 acres. Excess wheat can be stored with bonds or money in escrow and qualify for a 60 percent loan, or be delivered to the Secretary for relief.
