The first dose of typhoid serum will be administered at the Comanche high school building on Thursday August 20 at 10:00 a.m. under Health Officer Dr J Lane. The three doses occur August 22 and September 8, with a total charge of thirty cents for all doses. Any man, woman, or child may receive the immunization, as the state supply is exhausted.
County Agent J A Barton announces Comanche's annual sheep and goat show will take place Monday September 7 on the courthouse lawn. Exhibitors must be in pens by 10 00 am with no competitive awards. A meat cutting demonstration by Prof Snider will highlight the event along with a ram show and a new goet of size group.
Six burglaries in Stephenville and Lamkin areas led to the arrest of three men Russell L IX Gooch and Brown in Stephenville jail. Officers recovered most stolen goods from Proctor Merchants and identified loot from Gray Mercantile, K F Stones, Frisco Depot, Post Office, M Stones and The State Bank. The same suspects are suspected in Lamkin break ins as the chase ended with their Ford car in a ditch near Glen Rose.

Raiders used an iron bar to pry open the industrial room at Van Dyke school last week and carried off two Singer sewing machines. Trustees Fasley and Scott found the break Sunday morning, after the machines were last seen Wednesday night. Tracks show the items were loaded into a car.
Rufus White and family of Houston visited Mr. and Mrs. EB Denny this week. Mr. and Mrs. B K Schiesche are visiting their daughter Mrs. LL D Moore in San Antonio.
The annual revival at the Co manche Church of Christ begins this evening at 8 o'clock with services held twice daily from August 14 to August 22. Minister Clarence Bryant says Alton Wimbish of Hanover New Mexico will preach.
Harmony School pupils will be transported to Comanche this winter under an agreement between Harmony School District trustees and Comanche School Board. The one year plan has Comanche School funding Harmony pupils and transporting them. Dorrus Brown, Harmony Principal, joins Comanche Grammar School Faculty and will operate the transport truck.
Harley Neel age 16, son of Mr and Mrs George Neel of Cross Trails, was hospitalized four days after an auto wreck five miles from Cisco last Thursday. He was thrown about 20 feet when the car overturned after a blowout. The others in the vehicle were trapped beneath the car.
