A county fair planning meeting was held with officials choosing officers and naming Next fair events to be detailed. A separate raid by Sheriff Tom Gilbreath City Marshal W A Pate deputy J W Ash Nightwatchman Lee Bills and Denny Connor on Mike Roach’s farm three miles east of Downing uncovered a still a mash barrel a water barrel two kegs and a grate. Roach was indicted for selling liquor and possessing a still awaiting October grand jury action.

Arrangements are made for crowd safety and care. Meanwhile Ewell Rogers of Harmony suffered a broken neck at Bass Lake Gorman Sunday while diving. He is hospitalized at the German sanitarium with limited hope for recovery. he is the Rodgers’ youngest child and Tuesday was his 19th birthday.
