Comanche Berry Crop in Peak Harvest With Strong Daily Demand
The Comanche berry crop is at or near peak production as picking began last week. About 1000 crates daily are hauled from Comanche at roughly $1 per crate, netting growers about 50 cents per crate after costs. The activity supports two more weeks, employing many pickers at $2.50 to $4.00 per day, with berries sold locally and to San Angelo Temple and Breckenridge. Brady Martin of Bangs uses 300 crates daily for his jelly and jam factory, absorbing surplus.

Ford Announces New Model to Replace Present Car
The Allen Academy band of Bryan Texas will render a concert in Comanche on Wednesday June the first from five to six P. M. at the band stand according to information received from Sam Eberstate Secretary of the Chamber of Commerce at Bryan Texas. The band carries forty five pieces and is considered one of the best bands in the State. The band is touring this portion of Texas and includes Comanche on its scenery. M.
