James Hill age 93 longtime Democrat resident died at his son El A Hill's home on the 16th. Born August 1825 in Hardeman Tennessee he moved to Comanche Texas about forty years ago. Survived by children Orris Groves J B Beroggins Geo Jake Hill P G Luther Hill. He was a charter member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.

Herbert Carnes injured while hanging a window shade when a splinter pierced his eye. He had been married about a week earlier and was treated in Brownwood, where the eye sight was destroyed. Carnes returned from Brownwood Thursday.

Sam Brown longtime Comanche resident died April 12 in Eagle N M after a years long illness. Born May 25 1848 in Louisiana he moved to Texas fifty years ago and to Comanche county 37 years ago. He married Mary Kay 48 years ago and leaves a wife eight children and several grandchildren. He was a Baptist and a charter member of the Comanche Camp W O W. Funeral services were at Oakwood cemetery conducted by Rev. Holland. The community extends sympathy to his family.
