The City Softball League moves toward eight sponsored teams led by commissioners Troy Marshall Roy Brannan and Harvey Durham with play aimed around May 2. Teams include Vocational School REA Comanche County Teachers Comanche High School Higginbotham Bros Texas Peanut Comany Comanche Auto Parts and Arthur Chevrolet. Players pay 1 with sponsors matching 1 per player into the league fund while schedules and signups are arranged. A girls team may form in Comanche with signups via Florence Schwartz at Clay Building Material Company.

$75 000 Fertilizer Plant Under Construction in Comanche
Construction is underway on a new $75 000 commercial fertilizer plant in Comanche by Durham Pecan and Peanut Company. The plant will be located at the former Rock Mill building on Fast Mill Avenue and will be headed by Walter M. Durham Jr Floyd Prather and Pat Cagle. Cagle left his post as president of State National Bank to join the firm and help establish the new facility.
