Co Op Pays 600 Farmers in Cotton Reduction Program
About 600 checks totaling nearly 70 000 dollars were received in Comanche this week for cotton farmers. County Agent N E Scudder will distribute funds from the 1936 acreage reduction and soil conservation program with more checks anticipated next week. Checks ranged from under two dollars to over 1100 dollars, and one landowner received about 800 dollars. The district court room was crowded Thursday as farmers signed for their checks and banks handled the cash.

Believed natural causes, rheumatism and possible tuberculosis. Discovered by a visiting school boy. body at Higginbotham Undertaking. Two letters found in his pocket postmarked March 26. Ted Durham and Harold Hoffman of Comanche High School won the district debating championship at Howard Payne College defeating Mullin Brown County Coleman and Santa Anna.
