Rites For Miss Tennie Mitchell Here
Graveside services for Miss Tennie Mitchell, moved from Comanche to Dallas about 45 years ago, have been reset to 2 30 p m Friday April 8 at Oakwood Cemetery Comanche. A Comanche High School graduate 1908 Miss Mitchell died in Dallas on Tuesday. She lived with her mother sister Lita and brothers Bobby and Rollins in a home near the Blackwood Mims Hospital. A Methodist and office worker she remained a long time Comanche subscriber to The Chief.

Rabid Fox Attacks Blanket Youth
Melvin Liss a 17 year old Blanket High School junior and track star fought off a rabid fox along the Blanket Brownwood highway two miles west of Blanket. He was bitten and scratched including a finger and sent for rabies shots. The fox was killed after a short hunt and its head sent to the State Health Department which confirmed rabies.

Slain at Farm Home Near DeLeon Named
Tommie Hargus 47 was shot and killed at his De Leon area farm home early Wednesday. Victim, husband and father of three, was struck in chest and face by shotgun blast, leading to investigation by Texas Ranger and Erath County officials. Funeral held in De Leon with burial in Stamford.
